Testerkorea Haul/Site Review

Woo okay another somewhat late review, but hey better late than never... right? So I'm sure a few of you have heard about Testerkorea. No? Then allow me to enlighten you. Testerkorea is a site that sells not only full size Korean beauty products, but samples as well. And they're REALLY cheap. They list the prices in Korean won, but during checkout they convert it to USD for you. The conversion rate is 1030 won = $1. Anyways, enough of the introductions, let's start with the review~

(I like how they labeled it "fancy goods")
(the box was packed full so it left no room for damage)

Package Information:

Ordered- 9/02/2013
Shipped- 9/03/2013
Received- 9/18/2013

Shipping was definitely a lot slower compared to Koreadepart and Eopenmarket, but that wasn't Testerkorea's fault at all but instead USPS'. For some reason, after sending the package from LA to Sacramento (which is only about an hour away from where I live), they sent the package back to LA. USPS what were you thinking. Oh well. And ordering from this website is a PAIN. The shipping option is almost always invalid, so you have to refresh the page a bunch of times until it finally works. I remember having to refresh the page about 10+ times I think. But when I contacted customer service about it in the beginning, they were very nice and patient, and replied in less than 24 hours. I don't really suggest doing what they tell you to do though, because it didn't work for me. Just keep refreshing the checkout page and it'll work... eventually. ^^;

What I bought:

(each item was wrapped individually in bubble wrap)
It's Skin Babyface Pore Powder $4.66
TONYMOLY Tomatox Magic Massage Pack $7.61

Ahh the It's Skin Babyface line products are so adorable! Plus, since they were on sale at the time I bought them, the price was really reasonable as well. ^^ The TONYMOLY Tomatox pack came with a gift of ten samples, since it was one of the Top 10 Best Price items.

Yay thank you Testerkorea! I was really surprised to receive a box of SkinFood cotton pads. I really like how they give a whole set of samples, as in toner, ampoule, and emulsion. I've noticed from a lot of other reviews of this site that Testerkorea tends to give mostly SkinFood samples (not that I'm complaining). So just as a heads up in case you were wondering what they give.

Oh gosh I think I talked too much in this review. But here's the summary-

  • Shipping: 2/5 (the USPS thing wasn't their fault, so I'm not taking points off for that, however shipping is expensive)
  • Prices: 5/5 (all of its prices are really close to what you'd get in Korea)
  • Customer Service: 5/5 (replies really fast and they're really nice ^^)
  • Order from again? Definitely yes! The prices are super cheap, and while shipping may be a little expensive ($8.74 for 350 g), at least they tell you the price right there and don't use the weird system that Koreadepart has. Also they do give a lot of samples that aren't included in the order weight, so that's a plus. Just remember to keep refreshing the checkout page until it works. ^^;

*Update November 2: They've raised their shipping prices now, and it's a little too expensive for my taste. Might not be making a lot of future orders from them, but who knows

Koreadepart Haul/Site Review

Hey everyone! Sorry for this super late post. I actually received my package from Koreadepart about a week ago, but because of school I never had the time to write the review. So without further ado, let's begin~

Package information:

Ordered- 8/27/2013
Shipped- 8/29/2013
Recevied- 9/11/2013

They have a strange shipping system. For the US, you have to pay a prepaid shipping amount at checkout,
which is $25. After they weigh the package, they'll refund you the difference between the actual shipping cost and the prepaid shipping cost. My order's NET weight was 592 g, but its gross weight in the end turned out to be 1 kg, so shipping cost $13 for me. Everything was protected really well, and they use a double layer of bubble wrap (sorry I didn't get a picture > <).

Here are the things I got:

Samples + gift (from buying the Mizon toner):

(the one on the left is the gift)

Score~ ^^ They gave 3 of each sample in the Mizon gift with purchase, and 5 other samples as well. I really like the variety of brands they give you, although I do admit they didn't give as much as Eopenmarket, but maybe that's because of the gift I got from buying the Mizon toner.

Summary-
  • Shipping: 5/5 (pretty fast, the package got stuck in LA for 5 days, but that's not their fault)
  • Price: 5/5 (the prices are extremely cheap since they're almost the same as you would get in Korea)
  • Order from again? Hm... I might have to say no unless they're having a huge sale or I really need something that only Koreadepart has. The shipping cost was reasonable, but the fact that they weighed the package after bubble wrapping everything and adding the samples just somewhat bothered me. I mean, say they gave you a lot of samples and that added a lot more weight to the package. I'd rather get less samples than to pay for extra shipping, but that's just me.
I do suggest checking this site out, because they have A LOT of things that some places don't sell. Things get out of stock easily though, and they have a lot of discontinued items up for some reason. But still, definitely give this website a try.

Eopenmarket.com Haul/Review

Hey everyone! Just recently I made a purchase on eopenmarket.com, which some of you may know as the eBay seller cosmeticmarket2012. What's great about the site is that there's free shipping, well... somewhat free. Shipping only costs 10 cents, but that's without tracking, and the option I opted for. And I received my package in the mail today! (although curse the hot California summer weather that caused the box to be literally baking in the heat) So without further ado, let's start on the review~

Package Information:

  • Shipped- 9/01/2013
  • Received- 9/09/2013

Okay so first thing, shipping. It was unbelievably fast. I mean, I thought I'd be receiving it possibly this Friday or Saturday, but surprisingly it came today.

Now here are the products I bought:
As you can see, everything was neatly bubble-wrapped.
Etude House Wonder Pore Freshner 25ml x 3pcs $3.66
THE FACE SHOP Volcanic Clay Black Head Aloe Nose Strip 7 PCS $4.17
SKINFOOD Rice Mask Wash Off 100g $8.88
Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream 45ml $6.05
Elishacoy Ice Herb Whitening Water Drop (Essence) 20g $9.80
Elishacoy Ricebran & Arbutin Mask 25g $3.90 (forgot to include it here)

I will be doing reviews on most of these later whenever I have time. Let me know if there's a specific one you'd like to know about!

Yep, these are ALL the free samples I received from them (other than one of the face masks). I love how generous they are with the samples and that they give a variety of things.

Review Summary-
  • Shipping: 5/5 (fast and only for 10 cents ^^)
  • Prices: 4/5 (a little pricey compared to places like Koreadepart and Testerkorea)
  • Order from again? Possibly, whenever I feel like buying just one or two items, the prices are perfect. Hauls, not so much. Some of their prices are very similar to cheaper sites though, so I guess it just depends on what I'm buying.

All in all, I'd say that it's a good site, and everything they sell is authentic. I was worried about losing the package or getting hit with custom fees since this was my first time ordering beauty products online, but turns out I had nothing to worry about. Their shipping time is faster than Koreadepart, which is surprising since supposedly it got sent out later and I also had tracking for my Koreadepart package. So if you're in a hurry to get a specific product, then check this site out. ^^ Their selection is okay, but it's still pretty good.
