Review | Memebox Cosrx Box

DSC_7019

Hello everyone!

Today's review is on not one, not two, but five products! I know the photo above begs to differ, but in my haste to get out of the cold (I was outside taking pictures for over an hour), I forgot to include the fifth product in that shot. Oops.

Anyways~ The featured brand today is none other than Cosrx, a Korean skincare brand that has been rising in popularity lately due to its products that are formulated with effective ingredients that target everyday skin concerns. Their name stands for "Cosmetics+RX(prescription)". Unlike many mainstream brands, I noticed that Cosrx's products all have relatively short ingredient lists. That can be both a good and bad thing, but in this case it seems like Cosrx's is to just focus on the main ingredient(s) of each product.  In any case, I've been using these products for over a month now and have a pretty good grasp on how each one performs, so lets get this review started!

Review | Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop

DSC_6874

As someone with dull skin, brightening products are always on my radar of things-to-try. However, as someone also with sensitive skin, I've found that many whitening/brightening products cause me to break out, especially those that are milky white in color (perhaps just a coincidence?). But when there's a brightening product that's suitable for sensitive skin? Count me in. And if it can improve my skin texture and pore size? Even better. That's what Klairs claims their Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop can do, although whether or not it meets its claims is the bigger question. Read more to find out!

Review | Makeupbyevon x Memebox #HDReady Cream Matte Lipstick Set

DSC_6127

Let me start off by saying that matte lipsticks are not my thing. Based on my previous experiences (ahem Etude House), my impressions of matte cream lip products were that they're drying with an uncomfortable powdery finish.  So yeah, I'm not a fan. Bet you can guess my assumptions for this product, can't you?

These #HDReady Cream Matte Lipsticks by Makeupbyevon x Memebox were released quite a few months ago during the summer. When I first received them, I was prepared for the worst. BUT boy was I wrong. Although I'm still team glossy lipsticks, I'm starting to think that matte lipsticks aren't all that bad. In fact, some are actually pretty good. Like the ones I'm reviewing today.

Review | su:m37º Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick

DSC_6196

Hello everyone!

Many of you probably recognize this product already, since it's been highly raved about the past year or so. I can't remember how many reviews I've read where people praised the product as a miracle cleanser. Perhaps for many people it does live up to its name, the su:m37º Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick, but I stopped buying into its hype long ago. The reason for that is because sometime late in the spring last year, back when this cleansing stick was at the peak of its fame, my blogger friends and I each bought one, hoping that it would be an amazing product like everyone else said it was. Sad to say, we were fairly disappointed. I stopped using mine after about 2 weeks, and forgot all about it until Memebox sent me another one to review, to which I thought 'Why not?' After all, even products deserve a second chance. So what were my thoughts on the Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick the second time around? Read on to find out!

[CLOSED] K-Beauty GIVEAWAY from the Streets of Seoul (US only)

Title2

Hey girls, guess what time is it?

IT'S GIVEAWAY TIME!
Also- Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the U.S.!

With the holiday season upon us, I've decided to hold a small giveaway with some products that I picked up in Seoul for you guys!! This is my thank you gift to all my readers who have stuck with me and continue to read my blog posts despite my long breaks between each post. The prize consists of mostly skincare, some makeup, and a ton of samples and sheet masks. Also, because it is the holidays, chocolates and some other festive treats are included as well!

A quick note- I made a new Instagram just for the blog! I'll be posting way more often on this new Instagram than the one I used before, so please follow me @gloriausdays for review previews, announcements, updates, etc.!

Without further ado here are the prizes:

DSC_6737
Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask
Innisfree Jeju Sparkling Mineral Mist
Beyond Aqua Tinted Rouge in 07 Rose Red
Skinfood Variety Mask Pack
Sheet masks from: Nature Republic, The Saem, Tony Moly, Etude House, Innisfree, etc.
LOTS of samples

DSC_6787

The Elizavecca Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask has been extremely popular the past year, and when I was in Seoul I saw stacks of this mask almost everywhere I went. So, without I doubt I knew I had to include it in this giveaway.

DSC_6780

This mist smells so good. When I tried it out in the store, I immediately bought two- one for myself and another to give away. I normally don't like mists because they leave a sticky or tacky feeling on my skin (I'm looking at you, Innisfree Green Tea Mist), but this one just feels very refreshing and slightly moisturizing. Also, it has a very fine spray, which is a must for me when it comes to mists!
DSC_6796

I was dragged into Beyond one day by one of the SA's, and I have to say I'm glad she forced me to go into the store. Otherwise, I would've never found one of my current favorite tints! After using the Beyond Aqua Tinted Rouge for a few days, I knew I had to add this to the giveaway because this tint is amazing. It's pigmented, moisturizing, and long-lasting. If that doesn't qualify it as a good tint, then I don't know what would. The one I'm giving away (and also own) is 07 Rose Red, which is a gorgeous shade that would look flattering on any skin tone.

DSC_6757

I found this when I was walking in Sinsadong one day and came across the then-recently opened Skinfood Cafe. For those of you are or will be in Seoul, definitely check it out! It's located on Garosu-gil. There are three stories and the first floor is a shop where you can buy Skinfood products that you can't find anywhere else (like this variety mask pack I'm giving away!). The pack consists of 8 different types of Skinfood masks that either cleanse, moisturize, or exfoliate your skin. It's almost like a miniature mask bar- sans alcohol.

And of course, what would Korean cosmetics shopping be without the plethora of free samples? And sheet masks! Pictured here is a over half of the samples I received while shopping in Korea, which is all going to be a part of this giveaway. Some of the sheet masks were purchased by me, while others were shoved into my hands as I was walking around Myeongdong.

Last of all, for the chocolates, I will personally go and buy them depending on the winner's preferences, hence why there aren't any pictured here. I know some people prefer dark, milk, white, etc. And some people have allergies or dislike certain flavors. So for now, what the actual chocolates are are unknown, but it'll most likely be a chocolate gift box, a few bars of chocolate, and possibly something else!

I hope you guys like the selections of this giveaway~

All prizes pictured were bought with money out of my own pocket and not sponsored nor gifted to me in any way, shape, or form. I'm doing this giveaway out of genuine appreciation for everything you guys have done, such as following and reading my blog even though I'm lacking still in various aspects as a blogger. Without all of you this blog wouldn't have made it to where it is today!

Unfortunately, due to time and money restraints (the cons of being a high school student), this giveaway will be open to U.S. residents only. Sorry international readers, but I promise that there is something in the works for you guys in the future! To guarantee that the winner receives the package by Christmas, this giveaway ends on December 14 at 11:59 PST. The rules are simple:

1. Follow me on Bloglovin'
2. Follow me on Instagram @gloriausdays

Everything else is optional and can be done for additional entries to increase your chances of winning. Just remember, no cheating. I do go through all the entries to ensure that that doesn't happen, and anyone who is found cheating will be disqualified. Let's keep this giveaway fun and fair for everyone!

Review | Nylon x Memebox Sweet 16 #ItGirlPalette

DSC_4156
Hi everyone!

I know it's been a long time since I've posted.. er actually... make that a really long time... and for that I truly apologize. Junior year started for me back in August, which means studying on top of homework on top of preparing for the SAT. So in other words, I'm still working on figuring out how to add blogging into the mix, but I'm getting there! Slowly.

Today's post is a long overdue review on a palette that Memebox released a few months back in collaboration with NYLON, a fashion magazine. This palette, the #ItGirlPalette, was created in celebration of NYLON's 16th anniversary. Emphasizing on versatility and uniqueness, all the colors in this palette were picked by the magazine's senior beauty editors.

I'm From Honey Mask Review

The product reviewed was sponsored by Wishtrend. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own and 100% honest.

DSC_5317

Oh dear honey... one of my favorite skincare ingredients, especially for its brightening and moisturizing properties! As my friends may know, I'm a bit obsessed with propolis (an ingredient similar to honey) ampoules at the moment. They're honestly the best thing I've tried when it comes to smoothing out your skin and giving it a lovely glow. So when I had the opportunity to try the popular Honey Mask from Wishtrend, I went for it. Needless to say I was not disappointed. Find out more about my thoughts on this product by reading on!

Product Info
아임프롬 허니마스크
Name: I'm From Honey Mask
Price: 38,000원
Size: 120g

Ingredients: Honey, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Macadamia Integrifolia Seed Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Pentylene Glycol, Shea Butter, Beeswax, Tocopheryl Acetate, Argania Spinosa Kernel Extract, Hazel Seed Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Snail Secretion Filtrate, Water, Bambusa Vulgaris Water, Nelumbo Nucifera Flower Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Water, Propolis Extract, Beta-Glucanb, Bee Venom, Grapefruit Fruit Extract, Sophora Angustifolia Root Extract, Clove Flower Extract, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Extract, Punica Granatum Fruit Extract, Bambusa Vulgaris Extract, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin

Let's talk about about some of these ingredients:

Honey- The main ingredient of this product, honey's great for providing moisture for your skin to give it that beautiful glow. It's also antibacterial, so it's good for acne and soothing your skin.

Jojoba Seed Oil- Did you know that jojoba seed oil is the only oil that resembles human sebum? It's also good for combating signs of aging and (as all oils do) moisturizing your skin. It also supposedly promotes collagen production. Unfortunately it has a low possibility of irritating your skin and being an acne trigger, but I didn't experience

Propolis Extract- I was really excited to see my favorite skincare ingredient in the list! Propolis is a highly antioxidant substance collected by honeybees from tree buds. It contains nutritional ingredients to protect the skin from both internal and external irritants and repair damaged skin. It also helps restore your skin to a healthy state by soothing sensitive skin.

According to CosDNA, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate is the only ingredient that got a red flag in terms of safety. Beeswax, Jojoba Seed Oil, and Butylene Glycol scored 0-2 as a possible acne trigger and irritant.

DSC_5354

DSC_5351

Packaged in a thick glass jar, the honey mask is well protected but at the same time not so travel friendly, since it is made of glass. On one side of the jar you'll find the ingredients in Korean. As you can see in the picture above, the mask contains 38.7% of honey.

DSC_5360

On the bottom of the jar you'll find the manufacture date.

DSC_5324

The mask has an interesting scent. Rather than smelling like honey, the scent reminds me more of corn juice. It doesn't smell sweet like honey at all. I'm guessing that it might be because the scent of other ingredients (such as hazel oil and jojoba oil) overpowered the honey scent. I'm not sure how I feel about it, but I know I'm neither a fan or anti-fan of the scent. It is a bit strong, meaning you can still smell it even after applying it, so people who are sensitive to scents might not like it.

Also, thumbs up for including a spatula!

DSC_5335

I've heard that depending on the honey, some batches may differ in color, which explains why mine is a pale gold as opposed to the dark gold color some people have. Sometimes I have to mix the product a little bit because the honey has settled to the bottom.

Despite containing 38.7% honey, the mask doesn't have a sticky texture at all. Instead it's more like a thick, creamy gel with a honey-like texture, but none of the stickiness. It spreads very easily and a little goes a long way.

DSC_5340

I really enjoyed using this mask! Usually I'm not a very big fan of any type of masks, because many of them cause me to break out. However, this honey mask just left me with gorgeous glowy skin that felt so smooth and soft to the touch. Any redness that I had was gone, and if I had any active acne it was noticeably calmed down the next day. I usually just apply a thin layer on my face and leave it on for 10 minutes before washing it off. It's actually one of the two full-size skincare products that I brought with me to Korea this summer.

I'd recommend this mask to any skin type. If you have dry skin it's perfect for giving your skin a, extra boost of moisture. For people with oily skin, they can just use this mask and then go straight to bed without applying any other skincare product, since it's already quite moisturizing. If you have sensitive skin, I wouldn't worry about using this since honey is a great ingredient for sensitive skin. However do avoid this if you have any known allergies to any of the ingredients!

Pros
-Moisturizing
-Makes your skin glow
-Soothing
-Includes a spatula
-A little goes a long way
-Suitable for all skin types

Con
-Glass jar (breakable)
-Contains some potential acne triggers/irritants
-A little pricey

Where to buy:
You can get your own I'm From Honey Mask at Wishtrend for $37.90! Right now there's a 25% discount for it so the price is only $28.42 instead. Also, you can use the code WISHJULY2015 to receive 10% off orders $55+, or code WISHGIFTJULY2015 to receive a 1 free Lei Lani Pink Mochi Nose Clear Pack with any order.

Sorry for the lack of updates lately everyone! If any of you read my last post, I'm currently in Seoul right now and will be until August 11. I'll try to post as often as I can, but I can't guarantee anything.

Also, I'm preparing for a giveaway right now, and I was wondering what kind of products you guys would like me to include in the giveaway :D Please let me know in the comments below! You can just comment a category (skincare, makeup, lipstick, cream, etc.) or a specific product. Thank you!

Update: I'm Going to Seoul!

Hey there!

I'm so sorry for not posting anything for the past two months. School eventually took over a majority of my time, and when finals week came it was hell. But! School did finally end a week ago, and during that time I gave myself a week to rest and not write anything. Now it's time to get back to work!

I'm really thankful to all my sponsors for being so patient. I'll be back later this week with a review!

On to the more exciting news- I'm going to be in Seoul for 6 weeks! Yes, you read that right. However, unfortunately, it will not be weeks of vacationing for me. I'm attending Korea University's International Summer Campus for their Pre-College Program.

Why Korea? you might ask.

I was originally looking into pre-college programs in the US, since I'm interested in studying marketing and wanted to get a feel of what it's like, but found them to be really expensive. Then I can across Korea University, which is a couple thousand dollars cheaper, even with the plane ticket. So KU it is.

Right now I'm just starting to pack even though I leave Thursday morning (procrastination to the max, I know). I'm still trying to decide whether to take my DSLR, which is heavy and bulky, or to take my point and shoot camera which is light and small. Should I sacrifice quality for convenience? Such a hard decision to make. Let me know which one you'd go for in the comments below!

On to the other question, would you guys be interested in reading about KUISC? I will definitely blog about the fun and interesting places/things in Seoul, but would you want to read about my experiences at the pre-college as well? That one will more or less likely be in a diary format, categorized by week 1, 2, etc.

Anyways, I'm super excited for this trip, even though I'll have to study a lot this summer. I have a lot of things planned to do during that time, but I will be posting reviews too. My suitcase is still pretty much empty right now, so I should probably get back to packing. See you guys soon with a new review!

#EYELOVE SF Eyeshadow Quad (SoothingSista X Memebox) Review

Hello everyone!

Wow it's been over a month since my last post. I'm so sorry for not updating at all lately. My laptop broke near the end of March and I wasn't able to replace it until about 2 weeks ago. Of course at that time life got a little crazy as well but things should be more on track now! I hope  Thank you to my sponsors for being so patient too, I know I'm more than a little behind on reviews right now. OTL

Today I'll being reviewing a special Memebox product created by Stephanie from SoothingSista. She and Memebox collaborated together to create a versatile eyeshadow quad that can be used for a wide variety of occasions and skin tones. I was really excited when I received this quad since the colors looked absolutely gorgeous in the promotional pics. Thank you to Lauren and Memebox for the opportunity to try this product! Now, moving on to the review.

Banila Co. It Radiant CC Cushion (BE20) Review

DSC_1656
I bought the Banila Co. It Radiant CC Cushion back in October, and a few people asked for a review which I promised for, but didn't happen until now. I'm sorry OTL  BUT it's better late than never, right? sweating onion head

It feels like it's been forever since I reviewed something that wasn't sent to me for review, which I apologize for. I know some people dislike sponsored reviews so thank you for bearing with me the past few months! I honestly didn't intend for all my latest reviews to be of sponsored products, but life got busy and the only time I had to review products was for sponsored ones, since those are more of a priority. I promise there will be a better balance between sponsored reviews and not sponsored reviews this year!

Now moving on to the review~

Etude House Dear My Wish Lips Talk in BE101 Review

*The product featured was provided for review by Jolse. All thoughts and opinions expressed are based on my experiences and 100% honest.

DSC_0913

When I first saw the Etude House Dear My Wish Lips Talk, its claims made it sound too good to be true. A pigmented, lightweight but yet still moisturizing lipstick? If only! Not to mention how cute and pretty the packaging looked. Etude House is well known for its girly, pink packaging and even though I am neither girly nor a fan of pink, I always find myself tempted to get their products because of the cuteness factor. I was finally convinced to give this a try after seeing pictures of Krystal wearing various shades of this lipstick. So did it meet all of its claims? Read more to find out!

Peripera Oil Capture Pact Review

*This product was provided for review by Jolse. All thoughts and opinions expressed are mine and 100% honest.
DSC_0935

Have you ever walked out of the house with perfect makeup on only to come back hours later looking like a greasy mess? (Oily skin people, you know what I'm talking about!) I've certainly experienced that before, and let's just say the end result is not pretty. I used to use oil-blotting papers to get rid of any excess oil on my face, but I found that the effect didn't last long and shortly after my face would look oily once again. I also didn't like loose powders because I found them to be too much of a hassle and really messy. Finally, I decided to give pressed powders a try and to see if they could possibly help my T-zone. To find out how well the Peripera Oil Capture Pact worked, keep on reading!

Title

Hello everyone!

Today I'll be reviewing another Memebox, the Special #52 WTF: Wonderful Treasure Finds. When I first saw the name of the box, I thought "WTF" stood for something else. (you know what I mean, right?) lol But instead it turns out this box is supposed to be full of products that are, as the name suggests, wonderful treasure finds. So are the products included in here really a treasurable and wonderful discovery? Read on more to find out!

1. Skindeco Comedo AC Power Serum
코메도 에이씨 파워 세럼
Size: 50g
Retail Price: 29,600원 | $36 Memebox Price
DSC_1060
This serum definitely made me go "WTF" (the other meaning) when I first saw it. I have never heard of garlic and ginger used in skincare before, so this was definitely a first. I was worried that this would smell like the aforementioned ingredients, but luckily it has a light, fruity-floral smell that is quite pleasant.

DSC_1136

The texture of the serum isn't sticky at all, and its viscosity is very similar to water, just slightly thicker. I gave this a try a few times, but every time I tried it I woke up the next day with a pimple or two. Maybe it's the garlic or ginger, but this serum didn't agree with my skin at all, which is such a disappointment because the description made it sound like a wonderful product.

2. Tonymoly Mr. Smile Patch
토니모리 미스터 스마일 패치
Size: 10g
Retail Price: 2,000원 | $2 on Memebox
DSC_0998
DSC_1119

I mustache you a question... isn't this adorable?? This mustache shaped hydrogel patch is meant to be placed on your smile lines to help smooth out and firm up the skin in that area. I honestly can't tell if it was effective or not, given that I don't have any smile lines, but it was a fun product to try. One thing I didn't like though was how it kept on slipping off. Other than that, I think this would make a great little gift for your mustache-loving friends and family.

3. Elinette BMS Cure Cream
엘리네뜨 BMS 큐어 크림
Size: 50ml
Retail Price: 37,000원 | $65 on Memebox
DSC_1046
DSC_1132

This cream from Elinette supposedly uses Bio-Mesoscopic System (BMS) to help stimulate skin turnover. It also helps to soften, soothe, moisturize, nourish, and firm up dehydrated, sagging skin. That's a lot of claims for just one cream, so how well does it fare?

The answer to that is... pretty well! My skin condition has been getting better ever since I started using this cream, so I will continue to use it. I only need a tiny amount for my face since it's quite moisturizing. I think it's better suited for dry skin than any other skin type, but the weather is pretty cold right now so it works. The one thing I can't stand about this cream is the smell though. I don't even know how to describe it, other than that it has a medical scent that would be gag-worthy if it was any stronger. However, because it's been working so well for my skin, I am willing to overlook this con just this once.

4. MUMUR Air Waterdrop Cooling Hand Cream Snow Blossom
뮤뮤르 스노우블로썸 핸드크림
Size: 50g
Retail Price: 8,000원 | $9 on Memebox
DSC_1020

GUYS THIS HAND CREAM IS SO COOL.
Seriously though.

DSC_1156

At first it just looks like a lightweight hand cream, but as you rub it into your skin...

DSC_1160

... the cream turns into droplets of water! I admit it's not as moisturizing as most hand creams are, but this cream-to-water change is pretty awesome. It's scentless and free from artificial coloring, and also contains hyaluronic acid. As you massage the water droplets into your skin, there's a slight cooling effect that disappears shortly after. I would say that this product is definitely a WTF.

5. dearberry Play Choux (Peach Choux)
디에베리 플레이 슈 (피치슈)
Size: 30ml
Retail Price: 12,000원 | $14 on Memebox
DSC_1090

Out of the two possible options for this primer, I received the Peach Choux one which is supposed to add a healthy light-from-within glow to the skin. To be honest I don't know how I feel about this product. It doesn't seem that special, and it contains sparkles. They aren't that obvious, but if you look at it close-up you'll definitely notice them. It does add a slight glow to your skin, but that can be easily achieved by many other products as well. I would say this is just meh for a box that supposedly contains wonderful treasure finds.

DSC_1153

6. Bath Charm Store Dead Sea Salt Pearl Natural Soap
바스참스토어 사해소금 진주 천연비누(조개)
Size: 100g
Retail Price: 5,000원 | $6 on Memebox
DSC_0964
DSC_0976
When I first saw this soap, I was really reluctant to try it because of the countless times I've heard about how bar soaps are bad for your skin. However, after I finally did try it I have to say that this is surprisingly good! It lathers quite well and my face feels so soft afterwards. I like it! My one complaint is how it's a bit of a hassle to store bar soap, but oh well. This product is definitely a wonderful treasure (literally, because of the "pearl"), find.

7. Yadah Capsule Tok Soothing Gel
야다 캡슐 톡 수딩젤
Size: 200ml
Retail Price: 9,000원 | $11 on Memebox
DSC_1027
This aloe gel is very similar to all the other aloe gels out there. The one thing that differentiates it from the others is the green (aloe vera) and yellow (vitamin) capsules "suspended" in the gel.

DSC_1140

As you massage the product into your skin, the capsules break apart and are rubbed into your skin as well without leaving a single trace behind. Even though you can use this on your face, I prefer not to since alcohol is the second ingredient in the list. Like all aloe gels, it has a cooling effect that would be perfect for the hot summer days. A wonderful product it is, but a treasure it is not.

DSC_1010

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Total Value: $142 | Total Retail-Priced Value: 102,600원
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think that this is a decent box. The products are all pretty nice (with the one exception- the serum), but I feel that some of them don't fit the theme very well. I definitely did enjoy a few of the products though!Although it could have been better curated, overall this box isn't bad at all. It's not the worst, but it's not the best either.

As I'm sure many of you have heard already, Memebox will stop shipping internationally starting from February 10th. So if you want to pick up any Memeboxes and you don't live in South Korea, China, or the US, make sure to get them before the 10th! Click here for the current available boxes and here for some value sets and Meme products. This is your last chance to do so before Memebox re-opens international shipping again. They did the same thing around the same time last year as well, so I'm fairly sure that Memebox will be back soon with even better products and services for all their international customers (or at least I hope!).

What do you guys think of this box? Is there anything here that you'd be interested in trying?

Primary Raw DoYou Soy Milk Facial Cream Review

The product featured was provided for review by Memebox. All thoughts and opinions expressed are based on my experiences and 100% honest.
DSC_9956 Memebox actually sent me this awhile back in early December, but due to me getting sick, school resuming and laptop problems, this review just kept getting pushed back. Until now, that is. Here's to another overdue post that is finally getting posted!

Primary Raw is a fairly unknown brand, but that may be due to the fact that they only launched about 2 months ago. Focused on using "primary" and "raw" ingredients from nature, Primary Raw chose doyou (soy milk in Korean) as the main ingredient of their first product. As of right now, their DoYou Soy Milk Facial Cream is the only product that they have released. I looked at the main page of their website, and one of the pictures shows that this cream was voted 2014 Best of Best Product in Korea, but by what or who, I don't know. So how does this supposedly "best of best" cream of 2014 fare?

Product Info:
프라이머리로우 두유 소이 밀크 페이셜 크림
Name: Primary Raw DoYou Soy Milk Facial Cream
Size: 100g

The cream came in this cute cloth sack which was a bit unnecessary, but added a touch of "naturalness" to the overall look.

This is what the jar looks like once you remove the paper on the top.

Isn't the jar adorable? It reminds me of French yogurt, actually, since some yogurts in France are packaged in extremely similar glass jars as the one pictured above. The glass jar does make the cream less travel-friendly, but since the glass is quite thick it doesn't feel that fragile.

Once you finish up your DoYou Cream, there's actually many ways for you to use the empty jar! That makes it a little more environmentally friendly, yes? (or maybe not) One of the ways you can reuse the jar is to make your own candle with it (tutorial here). You can also use it to store little things, such as candy, sugar, honey, etc. For more ideas watch the video below:

Some bloggers mentioned that the cream has a fresh soy milk scent, but I wasn't really smelling it. Then again I'm not quite familiar to how fresh soy milk smells. I would describe the scent of this cream as a refreshing floral scent. It's pleasant and definitely not overpowering, but nothing special.

The cream itself is a creamy, white color. Although the picture above makes the texture look stringy and sticky, it's actually not.

Despite its creamy appearance, the texture feels like a mix between a gel and a cream. It's easy to apply and absorbs well. A little goes a long way! The cream claims to be suitable for all skin types, and I think it's pretty accurate under certain circumstances. It'd be best for people with oily skin to use it as a night cream, whereas combination to dry skin types can use it as both a day and night cream. However, people with very dry skin probably wouldn't find it moisturizing enough. I personally feel that it'd be a little too much for me during the hotter months of the year, but it works perfectly fine during the winter.

After using this cream for a little over a month, it's well... average and not worth the price tag. The packaging is definitely cute, but the cream itself  doesn't do much other than moisturize. Although it claims to brighten up your skin, it didn't really have an overall effect on my complexion. My skin just looked hydrated, but that can be easily achieved by any other moisturizer that is much cheaper. The texture is nice, but for nearly $40 I believe I could find a better cream with more benefits than this one provided.
