Christmas Package from jst.hero! ❤

DSC_0154

Hi there!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! What presents did you get? :D Tell me about it in the comments below↓

On Christmas Eve I received a HUGE package from Michelle over at jst.hero. For those of you who don't know Michelle, she is an Aussie beauty blogger that I met through Beautifan, ibuybeauti's review site. We started talking to each other on Line and now I constantly annoy her with my messages. LOLjk Anyways, we've been planning for months to send each other Christmas gifts and now the time has finally come, so today I'll be showing you guys what she sent me. Thank you so much for everything Michelle!

When the package arrived early in the morning, I was really surprised (and still half asleep OTL). I'm not sure if the picture shows it, but the box was really big.

After jumping around with excitement for awhile I finally sat down to open the box. The whole time I was squealing like a little girl LOL

DSC_0057

So after proceeding to take everything out of the box and removing all the bubble wrap, I started to go through all the gifts.

DSC_0064
I was really curious what these were since they were all wrapped up in really cute wrapping paper!
Can you see all the little notes she attached to some things? I started laughing when I realized they were actually chibis of EXO members! How cute is that?

DSC_0151
First off she included a card with a really sweet message inside (which I'll be keeping to myself haha). She also included a paper crane for good luck! THANK YOU UNNIE

I'll start with all the food she sent me first. I swear I have enough snacks to last me for a year now. Michelle said that she won't let me diet and she was definitely right. I'm usually a healthy eater but this Christmas... OTL

DSC_0081

She sent me two of her favorite chip flavors from Red Rock Deli! I don't often eat chips but I finished the Honey Soy Chicken flavor in just one day OTL The Lime & Black Pepper ones are also quite good!

DSC_0092

OMG TIM TAMS! I've heard SO much about these and now I'm finally able to try them. They're seriously amazing! My brother keeps trying to take them from me LOL
DSC_0094
Here are some other chocolates she sent me! The penguin shaped ones are so adorable! We have Cadbury and Lindt here in the States too, but I've never seen those flavors here so I can't wait to try them~
DSC_0102

The hot chocolate and chocolate gift tags are such a cute gift idea! I think the LCMs Rice Bubbles are the Aussie version of Rice Krispies Treats, but they're less sweet which is nice. My brother actually did steal the freeze-dried strawberries from me, but that's okay haha.
DSC_0108
Michelle went to Japan recently so she sent me some Japanese snacks. I haven't tried them yet but look really good! Why does Japan have all the fun KitKat flavors? ;__;
The Strawberries & Cream gummies are also really good! They taste kind of like Gushers (people in the US probably know this childhood snack), but less artificial and much better. Also my mom and brother finished the Shapes in a blink of an eye!

Thank you so much for all the food Michelle! There goes my healthy diet for the next few days LOL Now, moving onto the non-food related gifts!
DSC_0114
EXO ♥ My second favorite boy band after Big Bang, haha. Since Michelle knew that my bias is Baekhyun, she got me a Baekhyun folder! She also included some EXO stickers and other really cute stickers. Thank you! My grandma thought that the picture of Baekhyun was actually a picture of the person who sent the package so she was like "A boy sent this to you?!". I then had to explain to her how that was a picture of a famous idol in Korea, not Michelle. lol OTL
DSC_0088

Michelle actually asked me to pick something from Typo, a store that sells stationary and other cute things, so I picked the lanterns since she got Zyro one of them before and they're really pretty. THANK YOU :D She also included a cute 2015 planner as well. I'll definitely be putting that to good use next year!
DSC_0070
This pencil case was one of the wrapped up items! When I picked it up it was really heavy, so I opened it and...

DSC_0072
Tadah~ There were a ton of little things in there! I was quite surprised by how much the pencil case could fit. In fact, I can see myself using maybe even as a travel makeup pouch since it really does fit a lot of things.

DSC_0079
Everything that was inside the case was SO CUTE. I can't wait to try the Aritaum lip balm and Canmake blush! The colors she picked are so pretty. You seriously know me too well Michelle lol

DSC_0125
I've never tried Japanese cosmetics before and Michelle was kind enough to get me some (including the Canmake blush) while she was in Japan! Apparently that's her favorite eyebrow coat, so I can't wait to try it~ She also included a pack of LuLuLun sheet masks, Creer Beaute eyeliner, and blotting papers!
DSC_0135
Some more lip products she sent in addition to an Eco Tools brush set. When I went shopping for gifts I was actually thinking about getting this, but then I reminded myself "I'm not shopping for myself, I'm shopping for Michelle and Zyro" so I didn't. So thank you so much Michelle you must be a mind reader! LOL The Mor Macaron Lip Balm is also really cute, and she included two of Australia's best selling multipurpose balms- Lucas Papaw and Lanolips! The Lip Smackers makes me nostalgic about my childhood lol Who remembers buying Lip Smackers as a kid because of their fun "flavors" and bright, colorful packaging?

DSC_0137
Please excuse the lighting in this picture. OTL It started to rain while I was taking the last picture (this one) so the lighting became awful. Cali weather has been so bipolar lately- sunny one second, raining the next.
She was also kind enough to get a hand cream for my mom! Thank you so much! My mom also says "Thanks" ^^ She was really happy to receive something~

DSC_0143
Omg those socks are so adorable! She also sent some little accessories like a keychain and phone charm. Doesn't the phone charm look like something from Anna Sui? It's actually a tiny mirror!
DSC_0147
Last but not least, some of the other cosmetics she got me while she was in Korea. I was so excited to see the VDL cushion and Mamonde rose balm since they're limited holiday editions and Michelle knew how much I've been wanting them LOL She also included a lollipop from VDL which I think was a gift for buying something from their Dylan Candy Bar holiday collection!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING MICHELLE ♥ I now have enough food to last me for 2015 and enough lip balms to last me for years! I can't wait to try everything out ^^You seriously sent too much ;__; The whole time I was opening the package I was actually silent because I was so awestruck by how much she sent. You've totally spoiled me OTL

If you want to see want I sent Michelle, then click HERE. Also be sure to check out her blog (http://jsthero.tumblr.com/) as well!

That's all for today~ I'm sorry if I annoyed you guys with my constant "omgs" and excessive exclamation marks. >__< Thank you all for reading and I wish you all a happy holidays! ❤

Primary Raw DIY Soy Candle Review

The product reviewed was sponsored by Memebox. All thoughts and opinions expressed are based on my experiences and 100% honest.

Hello everyone!

Today's review is going to differ a little bit from the usual beauty reviews. Instead, I'll be reviewing a DIY soy candle from Primary Raw. I don't know about you, but when I was little I used to LOVE those DIY arts and crafts kits. (admittedly... I still do). So when I saw that Memebox sent me this kit, I was pretty excited. I've never made my own candle before, but it shouldn't be that hard... right?

Skin Watchers UV Success Sun Block Review

The product reviewed was sponsored by Jolse. All thoughts and opinions expressed are based on my experiences and 100% honest.

Sunscreen is an essential part of your skincare routine (and if it isn't, it should be!), especially if you're going to be outside for the day. The sun can cause a lot of damage to your skin such as premature aging (wrinkles), increased melanin production, brown spots, and can even lead to skin cancer. A few ways you can prevent that is by wearing a hat, staying in the shade, and of course, sunscreen! A good sunscreen will help protect your skin from any potential damage the sun could cause, but only if it protects it from UVA and UVB rays. UVB rays are what cause sunburns and only damage the surface layer of your skin, whereas UVA rays can penetrate deeper into your skin and cause tanning. Both of these rays can cause skin cancer and premature aging, which is why protecting your skin from the sun is so important.

Today, I'll be reviewing a sunscreen from Skin Watchers, a brand that works on developing quality products for your skin. Their UV Success Sun Block boasts to be the only paraben-free sunscreen, and it supposedly lasts for 12+ hours. That's a big claim in itself, so let's see if it does its job shall we?

Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer Review

The product reviewed was sponsored by Jolse. All thoughts and opinions expressed are based on my experiences and 100% honest.

Hello everyone!

I apologize for the lack of updates. Finals ended this Friday so during that time I was really busy with studying and other schoolwork. However, now that winter break has started I'll be posting more often and hopefully finish up a few reviews I've been meaning to post!

Today I'll be reviewing another Etude House product, the Proof 10 Eye Primer. I used to think that primers were pointless, and saw them as an extra, unnecessary step. What do you need to prime your eyes for anyways? As someone who rarely used to use eye makeup, I didn't bother with any primers. However, it turns out they're pretty important if you're going to use eyeshadow. Not only will a primer improve the longevity of your eye makeup, it'll also improve the pigmentation of shadows. So let's see if this eye primer does what it's supposed to do, shall we?

Memebox Superbox #53 My Honey Box Review

The box featured was provided for review by Memebox All thoughts and opinions expressed are based on my experiences and 100% honest.

Hello December, goodbye November! And the countdown to Christmas begins...

When I first saw that I received the My Honey Box from Memebox, I was so excited that I was jumping around as I opened it. Honey is one of my favorite skincare ingredients due to its many benefits such as brightening, nourishing, and repairing damaged skin. It's also full of antioxidants that help give your skin that youthful, radiant look. So it was without hesitation that I plunged into this box and began testing the products immediately. I've used these products for a little more than 2 weeks, so I would say that I've experience most of the effects each product has. So without further ado, let's begin this review! But before that, here's a little information about Memebox for those who aren't familiar with them:

Memebox, pronounced "Mi-mi-box", is a Korean beauty box and e-commerce retailer that is based in Korea. Currently the #1 beauty box provider in Korea, they started shipping to the US and other countries (see the list here to see which countries they ship to) back in November 2013. They do not offer monthly subscription plans, but they're constantly releasing new boxes every month. At the moment they carry four different types of beauty boxes:
  • Memebox Global BoxThe original Memebox ($23 + shipping) that comes with 4-8 full-sized products and deluxe samples.
  • Memebox Special Edition: Designed to meet various concerns, beauty trends, and seasonal needs, this box also comes with 4-8 full-sized products and deluxe samples. The prices range from ~$19-$32 + shipping.
  • Superbox: Made up of full-sized products only, each Superbox comes with its own theme, designed to target specific concerns or collaborations with a brand. Prices start at ~$19 + shipping.
  • Luckybox: Products in this box are based on selections from past Memeboxes. Luckyboxes aren't released as frequently as the other boxes, and are priced at $23 + shipping with 4-8 full-sized products and deluxe samples.
In addition to beauty boxes, Memebox also has a Memeshop where they sell products from numerous Korean cosmetic and skincare brands. The box I will be reviewing today is a Superbox.

Etude House Fantastic Color Eyes Bohemian Soul Review

The product featured was provided for review by Jolse. All thoughts and opinions expressed are based on my experiences and 100% honest.

Would it be weird for me to say that I've never owned a palette before? As someone who hardly ever uses eyeshadows, I found myself wanting to use them daily after receiving this palette. I am a huge fan of warm neutral shades, so the Etude House Fantastic Color Eyes in Bohemian Soul immediately caught my eye when it was released. Launched for Fall 2014, the shades included are perfect fall colors for your everyday makeup. When I first saw this palette I knew that I had to own it. In most palettes there's always at least one shade that I dislike and would probably never use. So how about this one? Keep reading to find out!

Announcement: New Blog Name + Layout

Hello everyone!

First of all, happy Black Friday! I'm sure many of you have taken advantage of the sales and bought yourself (and your friends and family of course!) a gift or two, right? Did anyone get anything exciting? If you did I'd love to hear about it in the comments below!

So... moving on to the next thing. After blogging for a little over a year, I've finally decided on my new blog name and am now ready to make the change. I've been meaning to change it since the beginning of this year, but I could never think of a good name nor was I motivated enough to make a new layout. You might be thinking, what's the reason for this? Well, I was never truly happy with my current blog name (Ice 'n' Snow Princess). On top of it being childish, it didn't suit me at all. What was I even thinking when I decided to call myself princess OTL
Contrary to what my layout might make you think, I'm not girly in any way at all. lol Things like bows, ruffles, and all things girly... I'm just not a fan of them. Now that doesn't mean I hate them! They're just not me, if that makes sense.

So what am I changing the name to?

After much thought, I decided on Gloriaus Days. I actually kind of got this idea from my friend, since she was joking around one day about "Gloria's Revolution"- a pun for the Glorious Revolution, which was what we were studying at that time. And so a few weeks later I suddenly thought of using part of the pun for my blog name. I'm not saying it's any less childish, but hey, at least it's a bit more related to me... right?
Or not? OTL

So for the next few days my blog will be a bit messy, since I'll be adding the new layout and everything! It's going to be really different from the current one, and hopefully a lot cleaner and professional looking. My URL will be changed to gloriausdays.com, and anyone who types in my old URL (icensnowprincess.blogspot.com) will be redirected to the new one.  In the banner you'll see that I included "fashion" and lifestyle". Although I have hardly ever (if any) blogged about fashion and lifestyle, they are two topics that I hope to venture into one day.

Thank you guys for reading and for all the support from my readers (whom I truly appreciate and think of as friends). I'm sorry for the long post, I probably started rambling at some point lol So yeah~ Thank you and I hope everyone has a great day! :)

Innisfree Creammellow Lipstick Review

*The product reviewed was sponsored by Jolse. All thoughts and opinions expressed are based on my own experiences and 100% honest.

Remember the Color Glow Lipstick Innisfree released last year? Well, this year they upgraded it and released the Creammellow Lipstick for the F/W season. When I first saw the swatches and the picture of Yoona wearing the bright red one (#8), I knew I had to try these. I decided to try the darker colors since they're perfect for fall and I don't own any shades like those at all.

Introducing: Wishtrend

Hi everybody!

Today I'll be introducing to you another Korean beauty shop called Wishtrend. According to Wishtrend, they only exist for one mission- to help you to be more beautiful.  A company founded in 2013, Wishtrend believes that "as long as you 'WISH' to be beautiful, you will be beautiful".

Here is the home page of Wishtrend. Since Black Friday is coming up the current banner is about the Black Friday sale which just started today. It ends on November 30th so be sure to check out the deals before they end!

Wishtrend currently carries products from 58 Korean brands. Some of these brands include Klairs, Mustaev, Ciracle, and Elisha Coy. They sell a wide variety of products for you to use from head to toe, such as nail polishes, skincare, body care, and makeup. Their bestsellers include the famous OST Original Pure Vitamin C20 Serum and Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream.

Wishtrend does offer worldwide shipping! To determine how much shipping will cost for you, look at the map above. Each zone has its own color, and depending on what color your country is in, then that's the zone you're in. So for me, shipping will cost $10 since I live in the US (Zone 3). Usually standard shipping is free for orders over $69, but for Black Friday the minimum requirement is $59! To get a better idea of the benefits you'll get from the Black Friday deals, click here or check out the table below.

With every order, Wishtrend includes free gifts/samples! YAY lol

Also, for those of you that don't know, Wishtrend has their own Youtube channel where they upload videos on things such as hauls, skincare tips, current Korean beauty trends, and more. I've been subscribed to their channel for awhile now and I have to say that their videos are all quite interesting!

So, please feel free to check out Wishtrend and take a look at the products they carry~ The brands might sound unfamiliar to you, but a lot of the products look really nice! I've read good reviews on quite a few products that only they carry, and if anything catches your eye, right now would be the perfect chance to grab it since the Black Friday sale is currently going on. You can also keep updated on the newest Wishtrend promotions by following them on Facebook or Twitter

Just to let you know, I've personally never purchased from Wishtrend before so I don't have any experience at all with their customer service. However, I've heard about good experiences with them and they're quite popular, so I do believe that they're a trustworthy shop.
When I first saw the email from Wishtrend inviting me to join their affiliate program I was really surprised (since it was so unexpected), but I knew that they're a good shop, so I replied back and accepted their invitation.

I'll be back later today (it's past midnight right now lol) with a review. Thank you for reading and have a great day! ^^

Memebox Special Box #43 K-Style 3 Review

The box reviewed was sponsored by Memebox. All thoughts and opinions expressed are mine and 100% honest.

Hello everyone!

Did you all have a good Halloween? Be careful not to overdose on the candy and sweets!

Today I'll be reviewing another Memebox, the Special Box #43 K-Style 3. Previously I reviewed the K-Style 2 box and liked it, even though it was missing one product. However, it seems like Memebox has filled in the missing hole (or product) with this box! Before I move on with the review though, here's some information about Memebox for those who don't know.

Memebox, pronounced "Mi-mi-box", is a Korean beauty box and e-commerce retailer that is based in Korea. Currently the #1 beauty box provider in Korea, they started shipping to the US and other countries (see the list here to see which countries they ship to) back in November 2013. • Superbox: Made up of full-sized products only, each Superbox comes with its own theme, designed to target specific concerns or collaborations with a brand. Prices start at $19 + shipping.
The box I will be reviewing today is a Memebox Special Edition.

Memebox Scentbox #4 Floral Review

The box reviewed was sponsored by Memebox. All thoughts and opinions expressed are mine and 100% honest.

Who's a fan of floral scents here?
... not me.

When I saw that I was sent the Memebox Scentbox #4 Floral for review, I was prepared to reject everything in it. As I was opening this box I pretty much expected myself to dislike the scent of every product. Don't get me wrong, I don't find floral scents entirely repulsive. As someone who's sensitive to scents though, I oftne find them too strong and flowery, thus giving me a headache. However, it seems like that's not entirely the case with this box, luckily. But before I start the review here's some information about Memebox for those who haven't heard about them yet.

Memebox, pronounced "Mi-mi-box", is a Korean beauty box and e-commerce retailer that is based in Korea. Currently the #1 beauty box provider in Korea, they started shipping to the US and other countries (see the list here to see which countries they ship to) back in November 2013. In addition to beauty boxes, Memebox also has a Memeshop where they sell products from numerous Korean cosmetic and skincare brands.

Introducing: Jolse

Hello everybody! ^^

Today I would like to introduce you guys to my new partner/sponsor: Jolse. If you haven't heard about them before, Jolse is a Korean cosmetics and fashion shop. They opened in 2013, I believe, and are one of the most trustworthy and reliable shops I know. Want to know more about Jolse? Then keep on reading!

When you go the homepage of Jolse, this is how it looks. The banner slideshow in the center of the page shows their current promotions and events. Every week of the month a set brand is on discount for 10% off! The current brands with discounts right now are Innisfree, Holika Holika, The Face Shop, Etude House, and Tony Moly. This way, if you're planning to buy a lot of items from the same brand that has a discount week, then you can plan on which week to make an order.

For example, say you want to order a huge haul of Etude House products. You should probably wait until the 3rd week of the month to order then, since all Etude House products are 10% off that week!

They carry over 40 Korean cosmetic brands, including some that are very well known globally and others that are more known in just Korea.

On the review/tutorial page of their shop you'll find reviews and makeup tutorials written by Jolse themselves. This is really nice since sometimes when products are just released in Korea, they don't have reviews immediately and Jolse will sometimes already have a review up a few days after adding the product to their shop.

Jolse also offers free worldwide shipping. Unlike other shops who offer free shipping but raise the prices of the products by quite a bit, Jolse's prices are really reasonable. The prices are usually really close to the retail price of the product in Korea, and sometimes even cheaper than the retail price ^^ The free shipping doesn't come with a tracking number, but I've never had a problem with my packages getting delayed or lost because of that. If you would like a tracking number though, it only costs an extra $2.50. Jolse also offers EMS shipping for $22. Orders are usually shipped within 3 business days after ordering, and usually arrive in 10-25 business days for standard shipping or 3-7 business days for EMS.

In addition to free shipping, there are samples given with every order as well! You can get an idea of how many samples/gifts you'll be given by referring to the image below.

Jolse also has a point reward system where you can get points back on every order to use for your next order! New customers get 3 points (1 point = $1) just by signing up. Points can only be used on orders $20 and above.

At Step 2 of the ordering process (Place Order), you'll be given the option to use your reward points. Simply type in the amount of points you wish to use and it'll be deducted from your total amount due.

Did I mention that Jolse is a trustworthy shop? Yup I did. And I'm saying this from a customer's viewpoint, not because they're sponsoring me or anything like that. I've written a review of their shop before, but it doesn't do it any justice at all (omg looking at my old reviews now they're so embarrassing haha...). Their customer service is absolutely stellar! The owner, Ji Eun Lee, is really nice and sweet, and replies to emails quickly. I've always received replies within 24 hours, usually less. Of course, since they only work Monday-Friday, if you send an email on Friday (PST) you will get a reply on Monday (based on KST).

Jolse is my go-to shop for whenever I want to order a few products from a brand that I know is on sale that week, or when I need something to reach me quickly. Most of my packages arrive in 10 business days, which is only about 2 weeks! I highly recommend you to at least check out the shop, you won't be disappointed. ^^ Every Wednesday on their Facebook page they hold a giveaway. You can also follow them on their other social media accounts such as Instagram and Twitter to receive updates.

Thanks for reading and have a great day~ :)

Disclaimer: I was not sponsored or told to write this introduction post, and it was something I offered to do myself since Jolse really is a trustworthy, reliable shop with very reasonable prices. All opinions stated in this post are honest opinions from my viewpoint as a customer.

October Haul

Hello everyone~

Back in May I decided to go on a shopping ban, and surprisingly the ban actually lasted. Er.. until now, that is. But still! 5 months. That's an accomplishment. Plus this haul was somewhat justified since I really did need most of the products that I bought.

I bought all of these products either from iBuyBeauti or Jolse. I'll be linking each of the products to the shop that I bought them from~

(left to right)
Banila Co. Clean It Zero $14.70
Happy Bath Facial Yogurt Foam (Grain) $7.98
First of all, the cleansers. This was a must buy for me since I ran out of my cleansing oil and cleansing foam at around the same time, and boy was that fun. Not. So I decided to get a cleansing balm instead this time, in addition to a cleansing foam from Happy Bath just because it was the cheapest I found.

Pure Heal's Propolis 90 Ampoule $11.20
If you read my review of this ampoule here, you'll know that I really liked this product. This is just a repurchase since I ran out.

Banila Co. It Radiant CC Cushion (BE20) $28.20
I was really curious about this product ever since it was released, and after much debate I finally decided to give it a try.

Etude House Hot Style Bubble Hair Coloring (RD05 Arcane Cherry Brown) $13.98
I've used Etude House's hair dye before and they're quite nice. Awhile back they reformulated their hair dye and added a few new colors, including this one. Since I was getting a little bored/tired of my current hair color, which is just dark brown, I decided to go for a cherry brown this time.

These are all the samples that I received for my orders. Cheers for the deluxe samples in the Laneige trail kit, which I can definitely bring for longer trips! I actually did buy one more item, but since it's a birthday gift for a friend and she knows about my blog, I thought it'd be safest to not post it here lest she see this post and ruin the surprise.

Looking at it now this isn't really a haul... more like a mini-haul? Haha, after not buying anything for such a long time I guess 6 items (including my friend's gift) seemed like a lot to me. This post is just to show you guys what to expect in my reviews for the upcoming months! Let me know if there's anything you'd like to see reviewed so that way I can place them first on the "to review" list. I've been so busy lately but I'm trying to make more time for writing posts so that way I won't end up abandoning my blog like I did earlier this year. The next time you'll hear from me will (hopefully) be on Friday, although that might not be true because I need to study for the PSAT. OTL

Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day! ^^

  • This giveaway is open internationally to any of the countries Memebox ships to (check list here) and to new Memebox customers only. (sorry current customers > < Memebox however does have other events and chances to win points for their current loyal customers!).
  • This giveaway will end at 11:59 PM PST on October 20, 2014. Winners will be notified and awarded by October 24 at the latest.
Since there will be multiple hosts hosting this giveaway at the same time, you can enter the giveaway as many times as you like (once from each host)! However, you can only win once. So if you've won from one giveaway host already, then you can't win a second time from another giveaway host.

Rules and Requirements:
  1. All participants MUST sign up for an account with Memebox and include complete shipping details.
  2. In addition to creating an account, participants must subscribe to Memebox's newsletter. Otherwise Memebox will not be able to send notifications to the winners!
  3. Duplicate accounts are not permitted. Memebox has the right to reject any participant that had an account prior to the giveaway.
  4. To enter, use the Rafflecopter widget below. All entries may be done once per person unless stated otherwise (retweets can be completed once a day for additional entries).
  5. This shouldn't even be necessary for me to say, but no cheating. Cheaters will not be tolerated and will be disqualified.
