Memebox Special Box #43 K-Style 3 Review

Today I'll be reviewing another Memebox, the Special Box #43 K-Style 3. Previously I reviewed the K-Style 2 box and liked it, even though it was missing one product. However, it seems like Memebox has filled in the missing hole (or product) with this box! Before I move on with the review though, here's some information about Memebox for those who don't know. 

Memebox, pronounced "Mi-mi-box", is a Korean beauty box and e-commerce retailer that is based in Korea. Currently the #1 beauty box provider in Korea, they started shipping to the US and other countries (see the list here to see which countries they ship to) back in November 2013. They do not offer monthly subscription plans, but they're constantly releasing new boxes every month. At the moment they carry four different types of beauty boxes: 

• Memebox Global Box: The original Memebox ($23 + shipping) that comes with 4-8 full-sized products and deluxe samples.
• Memebox Special Edition: Designed to meet various concerns, beauty trends, and seasonal needs, this box also comes with 4-8 full-sized products and deluxe samples. The prices range from $19-$32 + shipping. 
• Superbox: Made up of full-sized products only, each Superbox comes with its own theme, designed to target specific concerns or collaborations with a brand. Prices start at $19 + shipping. 
• Luckybox: Products in this box are based on selections from past Memeboxes. Luckyboxes aren't released as frequently as the other boxes, and are priced at $23 + shipping with 4-8 full-sized products and deluxe samples.

In addition to beauty boxes, Memebox also has a Memeshop where they sell products from numerous Korean cosmetic and skincare brands. The box I will be reviewing today is a Memebox Special Edition.

1. Secret Kiss Face Fit Strobe Cream

I just realized that Secret Kiss is actually a line under the brand Secret Key. Anyways~ From the description, it sounds like its functions are similar to the Etude House Nymph Aura Volumer, but that it can also be used as a primer. It doesn't really have a scent despite the flower extracts. And 6 kinds of gemstone powders? Sounds luxurious. I've tried this a few times and it really does a good job in illuminating your face and giving it that 3D voluminous look. 

2. Vella Flower B.B

Value: $26 (retail price: 18,000원)

Although I was interested in this in the beginning, can you guess why it got rejected almost immediately? If you guessed that it has a strong floral scent then you're right! My mom was watching me going through the products though, and when she saw this she was like "Is that a BB cream?" with excitement in her voice. So now I've passed this on to her. The formula is great and all, but it just had to smell like flowers. OTL 

3. Tony Moly 7 Days Tattoo Eyebrow (02 Dark Brown)

Value: $8 (retail price: 7,000원)

Look at the detailed packaging! It kind of reminds me of Henna tattoo patterns. The packaging is just like a liquid eyeliner, only this is for your brows. I'm really doubtful about this actually being able to last for a couple days without fading, considering how most people wash their face at least twice a day. I'm willing to give it a try though, and see how it performs. Maybe it'll last, maybe it won't. Also, the missing product from the K-Style 2 box has been found! Huzzah!

4. Style Y Soft Fit Mix & Math Pencil and Powder Shadow

Value: $9 (retail price: 7,500원)

This is another one of those 2-in-1 eye makeup products that would be great for those who are just getting into makeup. I received this in 02 Brown Liner & Peach Tip, and the peach shadow is really pretty. I haven't tried this yet, and I'm not sure I will due to the increasing amount of eyeliners I have now, but this looks like a pretty nice product. 

5. Style Y Color Fit Creamy Lip & Cheek

Size: 5ml (full size)

Value: $13 (retail price: 10,800원)

The packaging for this is pretty nice, I like how the heart is composed of a triangles. I got this is 02 Smoothie Pink, and sadly it isn't really my color so I'll be passing this on to a friend instead. From the outside the texture looks really nice and similar to the Innisfree Creamy Tint Lip Mousse.

6. Color World Jewelish Stick Shadow

It seems like shadow sticks are popular these days, since I also received one from Shara Shara in the K-Style 2 box. The packaging for this feels really sturdy! It doesn't feel like the tube/cap is made out of plastic, since it's kind of heavy. Maybe some sort of light metal since it feels cool to the touch? Either way thumbs up for the not flimsy and cheap packaging most shadow sticks have. However the color for this is a little too crazy for me so I won't be using this.

My thoughts:

In terms of the types of products this box has included, it's perfect! You have everything you need for a full-face makeup. The stick shadow color is a bit out there for me, but everything else is really nice. A well-rounded box in my opinion, and it's not missing a single thing.
